PISCES SEASON
Happy Pisces season! This is the first one in a few years where Jupiter is guiding the Sun from its home sign. It might feel more possible or necessary to dream, grow, create, learn, explore, collaborate, and fantasise as the Sun shines a spotlight on the Pisces part of your life.
The potential to float, go with the flow, and find relief and escapism will come in handy as we approach the beginning of March. Currently, Venus and Mars are moving hand-in-hand through Capricorn. Due to their somewhat opposing natures and desires, this transit holds a tension and volatility that, depending on your chart, may produce the kind of friction that creates sparks and/or depletes your energy. As they end their time in Capricorn, the two planets also pass over Pluto, adding to our Venus retrograde stories.
The first two weeks of Pisces season should offer us more room to breathe and a good dose of Jupiterian goodness. Then, Mars and Venus moving into Aquarius on March 6th initiates a month of tougher astrological weather during which Venus is enclosed between the two traditionally malefic planets, Mars and Saturn. The planet of earthly connection, generativity, relationships and pleasure will be under intense pressure, so it’s a month to take extra care with those aspects of your life (and your personal Taurus and Libra house topics if you know those). This transit is likely to be particularly heavy for Libra and Taurus risings, so it’s a good idea to have supportive mechanisms in place – especially giving yourself as much rest and free time as possible.
The end of Pisces season also sees Mars and Venus creating a square to Uranus, activating the ongoing Saturn-Uranus arc I’ve previously written about. While some parts of your life may feel rocky through March, you could find that your Pisces house has some balm to offer – whether it’s your day-to-day routine, social life, or diving into a niche interest. I encourage embracing and leaning into distraction and mental wandering intentionally. What brings you joy or healing to escape into when the world feels harsh?
In light of this forecast, here’s a tarot spread for Jupiter in Pisces that I hope can help you find a balance between what feels structured and demanding, and what's encouraging you to just let yourself be carried by the water.
Card 1: How can I connect to the spaces of dreaming, growth and joyful exploration in my life?
Card 2: How do I work with the coexistence of limitation and creative possibility?
Card 3: What is here to help anchor me at this time?
Card 4: What is my subconscious/spirit/loving ancestors’ message to me?
Card 5: How can I lean into the ease that is mine to embody?
I hope this spread is helpful if you try it – wishing you a rich and juicy Pisces season!
