ACE OF CUPS

The Ace of Cups as interpreted by kat fukui & Kat Jackson

Aces in the tarot represent an invitation to receive, to open ourselves up, to start a new beginning. For the Ace of Cup, our cup is overflowing, bursting forward with feelings of abundance, love, joy, and euphoria. I personally see it as the feeling you get when you don't know the destination, but you don't care because you trust yourself. You know you are inherently worthy to love and receive love. The Ace of Cups marks the journey to indulge in creative time, nurturing our bodies, and seeking comforts and joy of any scale.

Jungkook comes to mind when I think of the Ace of Cups. He’s always ready to make time, space, and commitment for what pulls him in. I think of how he’s always singing something over and over again in the background. I think of him in the soop, tucking away to practice guitar, and surprising everyone with his paintings. I think of him literally soaring and dazzling across stadiums. His enthusiasm often overflows into the spirits of those around him. Embrace and nurture these feelings of euphoria flowing within and through you.

Artist’s Interpretation of the Ace of Cups by @cutiesexylonely

When Kat and I discussed what card to drop next we gravitated towards the Ace of Cups. I had a completely different version of this card that I created early in the project, but after many months Kat and I checked back in with each other and felt that our vision of this card elevated towards self-love and openness for receiving. Jungkook is always the member who does his own thing regardless of what the others are doing, always honoring his highest self – living his truth. I included here his painting from the soop, (something he created on a whim), as well as screenshots from the Euphoria video. I wanted to add Smeraldo flowers which often are symbolized as “the truth untold” to show that once you honor yourself you open up to abundance, love, happiness, and inner peace.
