What led you to BTS?
About 5 years ago, I had this friend that always dragged me to watch the Go Go dance practice everyday during our recess (this was after DNA comeback and promotions if I’m not wrong). I used to always declare to everyone how I will never ever like this Kpop thing. And for what reason? I do not know at all. I have no clue, no idea. But as the days went by and as I kept watching dance practices and performances by them with this friend, the more I got into them, and soon enough by the end of Feb in 2018 I was /very/ into them. I remember all my friends and family being shocked about how I changed and turned 180 degrees. Suddenly I lost all my storage space on my phone because most of the pictures were all of them and then soon enough, I opened a fan account for them, always caught up with their content, talked about them all the time because all my interests were now pointed at them only.
Back then I was still majorly introverted (still am) and even though I had my friends, I still felt like I was missing something and I still felt empty and kinda lost? Like I needed something to turn to when I wanted to be comforted but I didn’t really have that. I don’t know how to describe that feeling. But I’m glad I got BTS right by me even till today, and they take up a major part of my life since I’m always catching up with the many content that they release + their music is the number 1 thing I turn to whenever I can. I truly love and appreciate them so much, with all my heart and I’ll continue to be with them all the way. This is all such a cliche answer, but they’ve really helped me a lot in so many ways and made my youth much better and tolerable, you know (bts)?
Who or what sparked your interest in art?
I have always loved art since I was young, but the main people that helped spark my interest even more were @chimi.graphic, @bngtanctouts, @jinsfloret, @filmshoya and even more! I started following a bunch of artmy accounts late November last year and I loved everyone’s work so that inspired me to start editing again and so I decided to start my own account this year :D I can’t really stay focused on one thing all the time so I tend to stop doing it and start with a new thing that I’m interested in. But with editing, it has always been a path that I turn to when I just want to be in my own space. It makes me happy and proud and it’s pretty much that one thing that I can focus on for a long while. Ever since I started this account, I find myself having so many ideas on how I can make new edits, and I love that for me, I absolutely love doing this T__T
What has the biggest challenge been on this project so far?
I think it would be visualizing what I wanted to include in my work. This is also by far the biggest project I took on. It was hard visioning what to add inside, let alone what materials I could use to start with, but I’m glad it turned out fine! It’s more simple than I expected it to be, the simple style is like a visualization of me during the pandemic (back when it was the start of it and more serious) since we went into lockdown so there was nothing much we could do. I was also very anxious on how good/pleasing to the eyes it will look, since I really wanted it to look aesthetically pleasing yet I didn’t want it to stand out too much either. I actually completed this work way before I uploaded this, but it took about 1 month (??) where I just let my work rot in my gallery, and now coming back to it, it made me see that it’s not that bad!
