When the Two of Cups comes up for you, it can act as a mirror through which we're invited to embrace and integrate all parts of ourselves. This can happen through another person, where the relationship provides a container for recognition, mutual respect, and love. The relationship flows with ease when you're together. Whether this is your best friend or your soul mate, there is a harmonious balance and reciprocity between you two.
Two of Cups was the first card for me to conjure up strong associations. I immediately thought of Jimin and Taehyung, friends since their high school days, who have laughed, cried, and rejoiced together. Their pure friendship is effortless! Yes, they bicker—but they also inspire, support, and bring out the best in each other. Their sense of self is expanded through the relationship because they hold space for growth, conflict, validation, joy. When Taehyung says Jimin is his favorite, you can feel the depth of their history and future.
When this card shows up for you, channel their energy by being present and enjoy the flow of mutual love. 💜
Artist’s Interpretation of the Two of Cups by @cutiesexylonely
When Kat (@softwitchclub) first started teaching me about the cups, the Two of Cups was the first card that resonated with me. She used VMin as a prime example of what this card represents. I had difficulty starting because once I am given a subject I tend to overthink and question every idea that pops up in my head. Kat then showed me a few examples of abstract cards which helped me to simplify my thoughts and just focus on their friendship and understanding for one another. I used VMins photos from the Esquire article more so because of the color palette that it provided me but also hello how good did they look, V in Berluti and Jimin in Bottega. I then used black and white photos from the Wall Street Journal in the background to create some type of contrast mixed in with a photo of them comparing pinkies which is a classic VMin moment.
